Fiat Chrysler Automobiles manufactures and sells cars and light commercial vehicles, with a global workforce of 262,000+, an IT landscape of 5,700+ Business Application and 20,000+ servers.

Initial attempts to populate the CMDB relied on external vendor inventory and other tools. Resulting in redundant CIs, inconsistent taxonomy, items reported in multiple ways. Basically, “garbage in, garbage out.” We leveraged ServiceNow's CMDB reconciliation, normalization, automated Discovery and Service Mapping to improve our CMDB. Join us for a presentation of our journey, and see the challenges and benefits we have achieved by doing this.

FCA will share how they improved CMDB health using the out of the box CMDB and Discovery automation while improving CMDB data accuracy by over 80% and hence increasing IT productivity by 35-40%.
